The Australian venue for the Life Force Retreats is `Headland Beach Resort’ at Lennox Head on the subtropical north cost of New South Wales. Lennox Head is a relaxed coastal village ‘without the bustle’, 15 minutes south of Byron Bay
The village is located on a spectacular coastline, featuring 7-Mile beach and a spectacular headland overlooking Lennox Point, a world renowned surf spot. There are wonderful walks along the beach and the headlands, with seabirds, playful surfing dolphins and migrating humpback whales (in season) on view.
Gourmet award winning cafes and restaurants are within walking distance, with Byron Bay and World Heritage National Parks a short drive away. During the retreat, participants will enjoy a rainforest walk, a sunrise expedition to world famous Byron Bay lighthouse (Australia’s most easterly point) and a Byron shopping excursion, including a visit to art and craft galleries.
Headland Beach Resort (www.headlandbeachresort.com.au) features 4½ star self-contained apartments. Participants will stay in a spacious one bedroom apartment with a queen-size bed (couples have the option to share). Apartments are air conditioned and self-catering, with a laundry and kitchen (although all meals are provided). Facilities include private spas on a terrace, free in-house Austar/VCR/DVD and direct in-dial telephones with data ports.
Within the resort is a 16-metre heated lap pool and spa, a recreational pool, tropical gardens, poolside barbeque facilities, a steam room and half tennis court. There are numerous quiet places for relaxation around the pool, on the terraces or at the beach 200 metres away. Disabled facilities and free security undercover parking is also available.
All meals are provided, including afternoon tea daily and a selection of teas, coffee & fruit available all day. Most meals will be served buffet-style at the resort apart from meals on excursions and two dinners at local restaurants (included).
Apart from the ‘Mind Liberation’ program, participants will also receive a naturopathic consultation and a craniosacral & energy healing session. Then there is the pampering, with a stress release body massage, a hot stone massage and a head & shoulder massage (treatments in your room).
Lennox Head is very accessible. By road - 2 hours south of Brisbane, 50 minutes from the Gold Coast airport and 10 minutes from Ballina/Byron airport. Transfers from both airports and coach terminals at Ballina and Byron Bay are included. The town is also serviced by a Countrylink bus service. The ocean tempers Lennox Head’s sub-tropical climate so it is never blazingly hot and rarely cold enough to demand more than a pullover. Light casual clothing is suitable (warmer clothing may be necessary in winter). Remember to wear a hat and sun block in summer. Temperatures - 19 to 32°C (summer) and 11 to 26°C (winter).
Headland Beach Resort is an ideal venue for the Life Force Retreats - a quiet subtropical location at a beautiful coastal village, a friendly relaxed environment, excellent food, pampering, interesting excursions and an integrated holistic program. It is an escape ‘away from the world’ for one week to liberate your mind and set up a positive future.
